ABOUT
This is a simple tool written because I needed a tool to easily view & navigate my spaces
Check out another tool that I've created Webex Forms tool
FEATURES
This tool was created because I wanted to know more about the Spaces that I'm a member of.
Features:
List spaces that you're a member of (split in groups and 1:1-conversations)
List all members of a Space
Show member statistics (member domains)
(soon) List top-5 message-posters and mentioned-people
(soon) Show a usable list of your Webhooks
TO KNOW
Some things to know:
LONG WAIT?: If you're a member of 1000's of spaces it may take a while before they are all processed. You don't see a spinning wheel (yet).
YOUR DATA: None of your data or tokens are stored. Tokens are only 'remembered' for the duration of your session.
INACTIVE USER: means that this person doesn't have an account in it's original Organization (domain)
BOTS: I cannot mark all Bot's in the Space list as bots. That would require a lookup for each 1:1 conversation user, which would make the tool very very slow.
The following scopes are used for this application
spark:rooms_read -- to select a Space
spark:memberships_read -- to list members of a Space
spark:people_read -- to display your details like email address, avatar, etc.
spark:messages_read -- (future) to display message statistics (very nice!)
Webhooks
"using a non-space filter":
This means that the webhook is not using a room filter. It may use a "personEmail=some@email.com" filter.
"Space missing":
This means that you have a configured webhook but the Webex Message space has been removed.
You can:
This webhook has no filter. So it is executed for every 'resource/event' combination. For such a webhook, look underneath the Webhook name where you see 'resource/even'. Example #1:
- Resource: messages
- Event: deleted
In this case, the webhook will be called for EVERY message that is deleted in any conversation that you are part of (1:1 conversations and spaces). Example #2:
- Resource: messages
- Event: created
In this case, the webhook will be called for EVERY MESSAGE that is WRITTEN in ANY CONVERSATION that you are part of (1:1 conversations and spaces).
Is this really needed? .... REALLY ?
What can you do IF you don't want this?
From the Webhooks page, underneath the 'CATCH ALL' message you will find the webhook ID. Copy that.
If there was one thing you could change, what would it be? Think about things like:
- Feature requests
- Usability items
